A Meaningful Approach To Therapy

My approach is both trauma-informed and person-centered, meaning I prioritize your unique experiences while creating a safe, supportive space for healing. Trauma-informed care acknowledges how past experiences shape your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, ensuring that therapy feels empowering rather than overwhelming. A person-centered approach means that you are the expert in your own life—I’m here to listen, support, and guide you at your own pace, using evidence-based techniques that align with your needs and goals.

I also draw from Narrative Therapy, which helps you reshape the stories you tell yourself about your past and identity, Gestalt Therapy, which focuses on self-awareness and being present in the moment, and Existential Therapy, which explores meaning, purpose, and life’s big questions. Together, we’ll work toward healing, self-understanding, and personal growth in a way that feels right for you.

Here are the therapeutic approaches I use to support your journey:

Narrative Therapy

Your story matters, and the pain of grief, relational conflict, or church hurt doesn’t define you. With Narrative Therapy, we’ll explore how the stories you’ve been told—by your family, culture, faith community, or even yourself—can be reframed. We’ll uncover your inner strengths and rewrite your narrative in a way that reflects hope, clarity, and your unique potential for growth. By reclaiming your story, we can build a future grounded in meaning and resilience.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

When grief, trauma, or cultural and spiritual challenges feel overwhelming, they can keep you stuck in painful emotional cycles. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful, evidence-based approach designed to help you process these experiences quickly and effectively. Using visualization techniques and eye movement, ART helps reduce the intensity of painful memories and emotions without the need to relive them. Together, we’ll work to transform the weight of past experiences into resilience and clarity, empowering you to move forward with renewed purpose and emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Emotions—especially those triggered by family conflict, grief, or spiritual struggles—can sometimes feel too intense to manage. DBT offers practical skills for managing overwhelming emotions, improving relationships, and cultivating mindfulness. By learning how to regulate emotional responses and strengthen your emotional resilience, you’ll gain the tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater balance and control.

Gottman Method For Couples

Relationships can be challenging, especially when trust, communication, or emotional connection starts to feel strained. The Gottman Method provides research-backed tools to help couples improve communication, manage conflict effectively, and rebuild intimacy. By focusing on deepening understanding, strengthening emotional bonds, and fostering mutual respect, this approach helps couples create healthier, more fulfilling relationships that can withstand life’s challenges.

Through these therapies, my goal is not only to help you heal but also to help you thrive. Together, we’ll explore how even life’s most painful moments—whether it’s loss, family conflict, cultural tension, or spiritual disconnection—can lead to profound personal growth and transformation. If you’re seeking faith-based support, I also offer Christian counseling to guide you in aligning your healing journey with your spiritual values.

You don’t have to face these challenges alone—healing, meaning, and a renewed sense of self are within reach, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Start by asking a few questions

You don’t need all the answers to begin. Just start by sharing what’s on your mind—what you’re feeling and experiencing. Together, we can figure out a path that works for you and get you moving forward in the right direction.
