About Daiana Bernard, LMHC | Founder of Meaningful Therapy

I’m so glad you’re here. For over 20 years, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through their most pivotal and challenging transitions. My experience is rooted in the trenches of human resilience, from helping teens aging out of foster care navigate their futures,  teaching special education and providing psychoeducation in an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit to community mental health and now private practice.

Every chapter of my professional life has been defined by a single goal: getting to know the person behind the struggle and helping them uncover the strengths they already carry within.

Eventually, I realized that support alone wasn’t enough for true transformation. I went back for a second Master’s degree because I wanted to offer more than just concepts and coping strategies; I wanted to facilitate the deeper inner work required to heal both the mind and the body.

You can have all the insight in the world and still feel your nervous system reacting as if the danger never left.  My mission is to help you bridge that gap. I specialize in navigating the heavy, unspoken layers of generational trauma and the complex grief of living losses, the endings, transitions, and identity shifts that society often expects you to just power through.

I bring a blend of compassion and clarity to our sessions, challenging you gently yet directly with deep empathy. Together, we’ll work toward a place where you can hold onto your story without the pain holding onto you, allowing you to finally live with true internal freedom.

What It’s Like to Work Together

When you sit down with me, in person or virtually, you can expect to be truly seen. My clients often share that they value my gentle manner, yet feel secure knowing I will challenge them in a loving way. This balance is vital; growth happens when you are supported enough to be honest and challenged enough to change. I prioritize listening to understand your story deeply, ensuring you are heard before we begin the work of transformation.

I believe in radical transparency. I want you to understand the why behind our work so you aren’t just following a plan, you’re learning the process. My goal is to be a tool in your toolbox that you can use long after our time together ends. I don’t want to keep you in therapy forever; I want to do what is in your best interest to help you meet your goals and navigate life’s “in-betweens” in a way that is deeply aligned with your values.

Start by asking a few questions

You don’t need all the answers to begin. Just start by sharing what’s on your mind—what you’re feeling and experiencing. Together, we can figure out a path that works for you and get you moving forward in the right direction.
